Welcome to Melting Mars
Back in 1996 I heard a group called Daft Punk that revolutionized the electronic world and me. Ever since then I have strived for my own electronic movement. I have created this project in hopes to help evolve the music and myself. There are many influences that have gotten me to this point and that keep me growing.
Alright a little about me, my name is Louis Gbur. Born and raised in Chicago. I have been creating my own music since the age of fifteen. I have collected a serious amount of 12” records over the same period, all of which have helped me evolve into Melting Mars. Heavily influenced by Rock, Funk, Soul, R&B, Hip Hop, Techno, and lots of very groovy House. Along with learning some basic piano, lately I have taken a new path in the creation of my tracks and have incorporated lyrics. I enjoy a good show and that experience is what I hope to pass on to everyone. There is no specific style I am looking for or chasing after in my music. It’s all about the moment and thats what fuels me. You might catch me with a few different artists on stage or just solo, but always original. My music is from scratch. All samples are created by yours truly. Everything is made analog on drum machines and synths. I have worked tirelessly on this project and hopefully it shows. Thanks to everyone in support.
